Title
Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age: Tertiary debitage
Description
English: A tertiary waste flake / debitage of flint dating to the later Neolithic - early Bronze Age (2900 - 1800 BC). The flake is semi-circular in plan. A bulb of percussion and a few conchoidal ripples are present on the dorsal (lower) surface. There are signs of secondary retouch along the outer edges, possibly for reuse of the flake as a scraper. There are flint scars present from post depositional damage such as plough roll. This flake is clear evidence of flint knapping at the site. The flake measures 32.71mm length, 13.56mm width, 5.39mm thick and weighs 2.5 grams.
