Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval: Unifaced token with a dog or horse
Description
English: A complete cast unifaced lead alloy token of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1800).

The token is circular in plan. The obverse depicts a horse or dog in a running pose (Powell type 19), with two horizontal lines underneath to indicate the ground. The reverse is plain and undecorated. Part of the original casting sprue is still present at 12 o'clock on the obverse.

It has a diameter of 24.64 mm and is 2.29 mm thick. It weighs 6.1 g.

The token is a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina.
