Late Medieval Purse Bar
Description
English: Copper alloy and niello purse bar. There is a central boss with a rose on one face and a fleur de lys on the other. The hanging loop is absent. The central boss is sub-rectangular. The hole for the loop is drilled off-centre and recessed at base. The arms have a niello inlay inscription on recessed panels. There are two hanging loops on each arm. The end of the arms have large knops which have been applied to the ends of arms which taper.
