Late Medieval Candlestick
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper-alloy late medieval candlestick. The hollow cylindrical socket is decorated with two circumferential grooves at the torn rim and another midway down the socket. The integral stem has a moulded collar midway down and flares out to a grooved collar with a perforated cylindrical projection below it. The base of the candlestick is missing. The length is 122.7mm, the diameter of the socket is 20.2mm and the diameter of the stem is 13.3mm. Weight is 114.16g.
