Description
English: A cast copper alloy Roman nail cleaner with a tear-shaped blade.The large suspension loop is in the same plane as the blade. Small projections on either side of the bottom of the suspension loop are mirrored on the blade shoulders. The blade has a central channel and its tip has two short prongs. The object is in good condition though with some spots of corrosion. A similar example from Silchester is dated c.40-50 AD (Crummy in Lucerna 2001, 3; fig. 1b).
