English: woven in commercial single-ply and 4-ply wool yarn, in aniline colors, with rows of vertical zigzag bands alternating with crosses, all against a Moqui-striped ground.

For a discussion of the origin of Moqui-striped blankets see Kent, 1985, p. 42: "The "Moqui" pattern of narrow stripes in indigo blue, natural black or brown, and white was probably introduced by the Spaniards in the seventeenth century. Stripes of other colors, most often red, are sometimes found in late Classic or Transitional Moqui-pattern blankets."
