Summary

[edit]
Description Linking the central Sydney with the Northern Sydney at one of the harbour's narrowest points, the bridge was built in 1932 and involved the demolition of 800 houses. Its span is 1,650 feet and allows unobstructed passage for ships in Sydney Harbour. The southeastern pylon can be climbed, or the bridge can be climbed itself in a 3.5 hour guided tour.
