Summary

[edit]
Description Rapid ascent can lead to altitude sickness. The climber's motto at high altitude is "climb high, sleep low", referring to the regimen of climbing higher to acclimatise but returning to lower elevation to sleep. [Wikipedia]. In order to assist with the altitude acclimatisation we climbed further up the camping site (3795m) to the Shira caves and then above up to 3850 m.
