Le musée d'Art industriel fait partie du musée national d'Art, d'Architecture et de Design.

Il expose de l'artisanat, de la mode et du design norvégiens et étrangers du 7e siècle à nos jours.

Le musée abrite notamment la plus belle collection de Norvège de tapisseries des 16e et 17e siècles et de riches collections d'argenterie, verrerie, céramique et meubles. Il possède un département sur l'art d'Extrême-Orient et une Galerie royale de costumes (incluant la garde-robe royale, qui présente les robes des reines de Norvège depuis la Reine Maud)
