Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Larne Harbour railway station - 1973
Preserved former GNR(I) S-class No. 171 "Slieve Gullion" sits in Larne Harbour station with the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland "King Fergus" railtour. The station buildings at the harbour gave direct access from train to steamer and were unusual in being bisected by a level crossing; the gap was bridged by a movable section of timber platform. As shown in D4102 : Larne Harbour station and ferry terminal (1985), this station was demolished in 1985.
