Description

Considerada um dos maiores e mais antigos conjuntos arquitetônicos construídos por negros escravos no Brasil, a Igreja do Rosário dos Homens Pretos é mais uma das belezas que compõem a história da Cidade Patrimônio. Localizado no Largo do Bonsucesso, o monumento foi erguido com o objetivo de aproximar os membros da cultura afro-descendente da religião católica. É no largo da igreja que acontecem manisfestações culturais importantes como a saída da agremiação do Homem da Meia Noite e as celebrações da Noite dos Tambores Silenciosos.
