Summary
[edit]DescriptionLarge loudspeaker box (h=1.8 m) with bass reflex system and a mid-high horn loudspeaker, photographed in Tokyo 2005.jpg |
A loudspeaker box in front of a DVD store in Tokyo, Japan, 2005. The box has two bass loudspeaker drivers (gray) and is of the bass reflex type. The large device on top is a horn loudspeaker which covers the mid frequency range and probably - as there is no dedicated tweeter for the high frequency range - also the high frequencies. The overall height of the box is about 1.8 meters. Derived from the overall size, the two bass drivers are probably each 15 inches (38 cm) in diameter. This loudspeaker configuration is produced very similar (close to identical) by a number of companies for use in cinemas, for placing behind the screen in order to be invisible to the audience. The producer of the shown item is not known. |
