Description
English: Mediaeval stained glass in Selworthy Church, Somerset (east window of north aisle) showing arms of Lansladron (Sable, three chevronels argent) quartering Pellor (Azure, a chevron or between three bezants) impaling Argent, a chevron sable between three buckles of the first (unknown family) quartering Leigh (Vert, a saltire gules between four eaglets displayed or). See: Hancock, Frederick, The Parish of Selworthy in the County of Somerset, Taunton, 1897, p.189[1]:
"In the east window of the north aisle of Selworthy church is a coat of arms' quarterly 1 and 4: arg. three chevrons sable (the colours curiously enough are wrong and should be reversed) 2 and 3: az. three pellets or (Pellor) Impaling — 1: gone 2 and 3: vert, St. Andrew's cross gules between four eagles displayed gules (Leigh) 4: arg. three buckles ? Leigh Barton, near Tiverton, passed to the Arundell family by a marriage of an Arundell with the heiress of that estate, and it is still the property of Sir Thomas Acland."
