Summary

[edit]
Description HIgh magnification image showing Langerhans histiocytes and numerous eosinophiles. The number of eosinophiles present in this condition is quite variable and in some cases they may be absent. The presence or absence of eosinophiles is largely irrelevant to making the diagnosis. The diagnosis is based upon the identification of Langerhans histiocytes as the predominating cell type.
