Summary
[edit]DescriptionLane to Foxcote - geograph.org.uk - 1187276.jpg |
English: Lane to Foxcote. The lane drops to cross the Wellow Brook valley from the junction with St Julian's Road. The abutment 50 metres down on the right side of the lane is the base of an arch of 359406 which crossed the lane here. Foxcote was the location of "the only major accident to a passenger train that ever occurred on the Somerset & Dorset line" on 7th August 1876 - actually down the line to the right. http://www.sdjr.net/sd_radstock.html |
