| Description | PPCP slabs were delivered to the project site and installed following various steps, starting with lane closure and maintenance of traffic during the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Virginia DOT to demonstrate the use of precast concrete pavement system (PCPS) technology to replace concrete slabs on a section of I-66 during nighttime. Two lanes were closed at 9 pm, a third lane closed at 10 pm, and then all lanes reopened to traffic by 5 am. |
