Omschrijving: Landschap met een rivier. Op de voorgrond links de slapende Jakob met een steen als hoofdkussen. Hij droomt over een ladder die tot in de hemel reikt en over engelen die omhoog- en omlaagklimmen. In de wolken vervangt een tetragram de afbeelding van God de Vader. God belooft het land aan Jakobs nakomelingen. Links op de achtergrond wijdt Jakob de steen die hij als hoofdsteun gebruikte door er olie over heen te gieten. Hij noemde de plaats Betel, Huis van God (Gen. 28:11). De prent maakt deel uit van een album.
