| Description |
English: Landfill site, near the Severn Way, near Hempsted, Gloucestershire To the east of the Severn Way is a landfill site. I think the sections nearest the long distance path, such as this one, have been completed. They are probably still gassing well, hence the vents releasing methane and carbon dioxide to the atmosphere as tips have done for centuries, ever since mankind started dumping rubbish in otherwise useless holes in the ground. Of course, global warming hadn't been invented then. |
