Deutsch: Bildstock aus der Wieskirchbewegung
Der Säulenabschluss dieses wuchtigen Bildstocks zeigt Jesus Christus als Friedensfürst mit einem Palmzweig in den Händen. Auf dem Sockel ist zu lesen: Hir ist Jesus von der Wis; der voller Gnaden ist. Behüt durch deinen Segen unser Land vor Schauer, Hagel und Brand! Denkmal-Experten deuten „Wis" als Wiese, herrührend von der Wallfahrtskirche zum Gegeißelten Heiland auf der Wies, einem Wallfahrtsort bei Steingaden im Allgäu. Aus dieser Bewegung stammt auch die Statue des gegeißelten Heilands vor dem Haupteingang der Pfarrkirche St. Michael. |
