Deutsch: Diese barocke Schlosskirche ist eine bedeutende Hinterlassenschaft der Fürstin Sophie Friederike von Hohenlohe- Waldenburg- Bartenstein, einer geborenen Landgräfin von Hessen- Homburg und ihres Sohnes Ludwig Leopold. Nach dem Ihr 1774 durch Losentscheid der neu gebildete Landesanteil Limpurg- Sontheim- Gröningen zugefallen war, begann sie 1775 unter anderem auch mit der Barockisierung und dem Umbau der zuvor evangelisch gewesenen Schlosskirche. Es handelt sich um eine flachgedeckte Pfeilerhalle mit umlaufenden Emporen. Der Hochaltar flankiert von den Aposteln Petrus und Paulus zeigt im Altarblatt den Erzengel Michael im Kampf gegen das Böse und stammt vermutlich von dem Würzburger Maler Urlaub. |
