Description
English: The steps at the 5-star Hotel Russell, London. It was built in 1898 by the architect Charles Fitzroy Doll,who based it on the Château de Madrid on the Bois de Boulogne. It is richly clad in decorative thé-au-lait ("tea with milk") terracotta, with extensive decoration including these associated figurative lampholder sculptures.
