Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lamb Holm jetty This disused jetty is situated at the southern end of Lamb Holm. It is believed to have been constructed at the same time as the Churchill Barriers (1940-43) and was used to bring in equipment etc. There was a large POW camp on Lamb Holm (hence the Italian Chapel); the pipeline that can be seen on the deck of the jetty may have been used to bring fuel oil to the island, rather than refilling vessels from it.
