Description

Search & rescue in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina
Spc. Chase Carman, medic, Company C, 82nd Forward Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, climbs out of the second-floor window of a flooded home during a zodiac-boat search and rescue operation Sept. 9, 2005, in the Lake View area of Orleans Parish. The search and rescue teams are permitted to enter and search a home only if there is an open window or balcony door.
