Transcript InfoField | The Lake of Thun is situated between Thun and Interlaken and has been justly described as the pearl of the lakes of the Bernese Oberland. It is 11 miles long and nearly 2 miles wide. Its waters are clear and placid, and the banks, where no town exists, clad with trees and verdure to the very water's edge. There are several little towns on its shores, and many picturesque villas, and, with the distant background of mountains, a voyage on this little lake affords a series of beautiful views. |
