Colorized view of building reflected in lake. Beginning in 1886, The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), the citizens of Greene County, Ohio and the State of Ohio founded The Ohio Soldier’s & Sailor’s Orphans’ Home (OSSO), later renamed The Ohio Veteran’s Children’s Home (OVCH), in Xenia, Ohio.
