Summary
[edit]DescriptionLake Como ski trails (6354080405).jpg | The 30-miles of groomed cross-country ski trails on the south side of Lake Como on the Darby RD are a very popular winter destination. The Lake Como Recreation Area is the most utilized recreation area in the Northern Region visited by more than 100,000 people annually. This will be the third winter of activity, and visitor numbers have increased dramatically already due to the close proximity to the Bitterroot Valley, scenic setting, and the high-quality recreation experience. Como Trails Club members volunteer their time and equipment to groom and maintain the winter recreation area for the public to enjoy. School groups and all levels and types of skiers (classic and skate skiers) utilize the trails system. The Como Trails Club received a USFS RAC grant to help pay for signs and trail maps. |
