Description
Deutsch: Eine Lackschild-Uhr. Normalgroße Wanduhren, wie sie im 19. Jahrhundert gebaut wurden. Kunstfertige Schildmaler ließen hier wirkliche Kunstwerke entstehen. Der Großteil der Uhrenproduktion im Schwarzwald entfielen vor allem in der ersten Jahrhunderthälfte auf diesen Uhrentyp. So wurden die Uhren mit handbemaltem, lackiertem Holzschild, Schlagwerk und später mit Kuckucksruf zu einem Markenzeichen der Uhrmacherei des Schwarzwaldes.
