English: 1 - Saint Martin’s church

This is a church built in the Romanesque style. Many tombstones remain in the old graveyard facing the church entrance. The nave is flanked by an aisle on each side. The transept bears the square – shaped tower. Two side chapels are decorated in the international gothic style and were added in the 15th and 17th centuries. Arcatures and Lombard strips can be seen on the exterior. The interior was built in accordance with the Cistercian rigour.

The view over the Jura, the Bresse and the Grosne Valley is remarkable.
