| Description |
Nederlands: Laat 110, hoek Boterstraat 21-23, met een achteringang op Payglop 25, Van Til Interieur. Zijgevel. Op 28-3-1904 openden Jan en Grietje van Til een meubelwinkel met de naam Eben-Haëzer. In 1906 verhuisde Van Til naar de Boterstraat. In 1911 werd er verbouwd. In 1916 kreeg Jan opdracht een stadsvilla te bouwen aan de Wilhelminalaan. Eind jaren dertig begon zoon Klaas een klokkenmakerij. Het Hooge Huys gaf iedereen die een verzekering afsloot een pendule. Vanwege concurrentie werd er gestopt met een eigen werkplaats achter de winkel. Mevrouw van Til begon een stoffeerderij. Na WO II profiteerde het bedrijf van het Amerikaanse steunprogramma. Het familiebedrijf werd uitgebouwd en de klokkenfabriek opgeheven. Rond 1990 verhuisde het bedrijf naar Noorderkade 38, hoek Noorderstraat. |
