Français : La cathédrale n'est pas la seule star de l'hyper-centre, ces deux ensembles de bâtiment ont également plus d'un tour dans leur sac. Le style classique/régence affronte ici le gothique + la renaissance. Chacun a ses préférences. Mais quoi qu'on en dise, ce sont vraiment deux œuvres d'art de premier niveau qui eurent de la chance de passer les siècles.
La place fut il y a quelques décennies un grand parking avec de nombreux arbres. Tout a disparu pour cet ensemble monolithique. Cela a au moins le mérite de permettre de panorama clarifié des bâtiments. La place est également un chemin possible pour le Lycée Fustel de Coulanges (bâtiment sur la gauche), il faut croire qu'une certaine jeune fille n'est pas pressée d'y arriver.
