Español: Las flores y el tejido, una relación estrecha en el pueblo de Zinacatán, Chiapas. Su población maya-tzotzil, utiliza el telar de cintura que data de la época prehispánica para representar flores, un vasto obsequio de la naturaleza en esta zona. Los diseños más que representaciones de plantas, dotan de significado a los sentimientos y pensamientos de este pueblo, son memoria de los ancestros que se transmite de generación en generación.
English: Flowers and weaving, a close relationship in the town of Zinacatán, Chiapas. Its Mayan-Tzotzil population uses the waist loom dating from pre-Hispanic times to represent flowers, a vast gift of nature in this area. The designs more than representations of plants, give meaning to the feelings and thoughts of this people, they are memory of the ancestors that is transmitted from generation to generation. |
