Description

La mosquée d'été, située dans le palais fortifié (Kounia Ark), date de 1838.

Son iwan comprend 6 colonnes de bois et ses murs sont décorés de majolique bleue, réalisée par des maîtres artisants du 19ème siècle : Abdullah et Ibadulla Djinn.

Le plafond est décoré de motifs aux couleurs chaudes, rouge et jaune.

A gauche, le mihrab (arabe : مِحْراب [miḥrāb], sanctuaire), la niche qui indique la qibla, c'est-à-dire la direction de la ka'ba à La Mecque vers où se tournent les musulmans pendant la prière. Au fond, le minbar.
