Description
Français : Geste, signal et symbole, l’œuvre incarne plus particulièrement Québec, sa topographie, ses escaliers et son histoire. L’artiste a intégré à la sculpture des traces, faites de toile noircie, créées à partir de moulage des vestiges du fort Saint-Louis et de la chaussée qui reliait ce fort à la basse-ville. Il a aussi utilisé des matériaux provenant de la Taverne Royale, rue Dorchester, de la toiture du Manège militaire, incendié, et de souvenirs des passeurs d’objets et de mots.
