Summary

[edit]
Description

La Sultana (originally named Aji-Petri) was built in Bulgaria in 1962 to be used as a ferry on the Black Sea. There were 12 ships built in the same design.

In 1970 the ships were re-purposed as "radio relay" vessels in the North Atlantic - and also did electronic eavesdropping.

When the Soviet Union came to an end this ship returned to the Black Sea, as a ferry again.

In 2007 she was bought by the La Sultana Group and at considerable expense she was converted to a luxury "Classic Yacht".

She is available for charter. If you fancy that you will need to enquire with her owners as to the price. She is seen here at Malaga, Southern Spain in 2016.
