Русский: Православная казачья икона Божьей Матери Семистрельной Белогорской Венецианской из Белогорского Воскресенского пещерного мужского монастыря, пребывает в Венеции в Местре в церкви капуцинов Сан Карло, известна в Италии под именем Madonna del Don.
Во время Второй мировой войны на юге Воронежской области, в местности, известной как Белогорье (от меловых скал на правом берегу Дона близ города Павловска), стояли воевавшие на стороне нацистов итальянские горнострелковые части. Во второй половине декабря 1942 года солдаты из взвода лейтенанта Джузеппе Перего нашли в разрушенном от бомбежек доме икону «Умягчение злых сердец», которую они передали своему военному священнику — капеллану отцу Поликарпо из Вальданьи. По словам местных жителей, эта икона происходила из пещерного Воскресенского Белогорского мужского монастыря близ Павловска. Итальянцы называли ее «La Madonna del Don» («Донская Мадонна»; не следует путать этот образ с Донской Богоматерью). После Острогожско-Россошанского наступления советских войск в январе 1943 года остатки разбитого итальянского корпуса покинули пределы России. Капеллан Поликарпо взял «Донскую Мадонну» с собой в Италию, где в г. Местре (материковая часть Венеции) специально для нее была выстроена часовня, до сих пор остающаяся местом массового паломничества родных и близких итальянских солдат, погибших в России. This work was published on territory of the Russian Empire (Russian Republic) except for territories of the Grand Duchy of Finland and Congress Poland before 7 November 1917 and wasn't re-published for 30 days following initial publications on the territory of Soviet Russia or any other countries.
