[edit]DescriptionLa MaMa Annex 66 East 4th Street.jpg | The La MaMa Annex Building at 66 East 4th Street (66-68) between Second Avenue and the Bowery in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City houses La Mama's Ellen Stewart Theater and Archives, and facilities of the Millennium Film Workshop. The building was formerly known as "Turn Hall", where the New-York Turn-Verein ("New York Gymnastics Club"), founded in 1849, met. The building also hosted the first professional Yiddish-language play in the United States, a production of The Witch in 1882. It was also the Ukranaian Labor Home (1925-1937), a dancehall called "Manhattan Plaza", Biltmore Studios and ABC Stage.
