Façade du bâtiment de la Kunsthalle à Berne La Kunsthalle a été construite entre 1917 et 1918 par une association d'art de la ville de Berne. Elle fut inaugurée le 5 octobre 1918, et est devenue au fil des années, (malgré sa petite taille NDLR) un important centre d'exposition d'art moderne et d'art contemporain.... extraits de Wikipedia La Kunsthalle a été célèbre dans le monde de l'art contemporain à la suite des expositions d’avant garde artistique organisées par Harald Szeemann (1933-2005) qui en a été le directeur de 1961 à 1969. Parmi celles-ci, figure l'exposition culte "Vivre dans sa Tête. Quand les attitudes deviennent forme" (Live in Your Head. When Attitudes become Form) qui a présenté en 1969 des oeuvres d'art conceptuel d'artistes encore peu connus à l’époque. Cette exposition très radicale a été à l'origine d'un scandale qui a conduit Harald Szeemann à démissionner de son poste le 10 mai 1969, ce qui lui a ouvert une carrière internationale.
