| Description |
English: A historic building located at 1113 Adams Street in downtown La Grande, Oregon. In the 1910s it housed the La Grande investment Co., owned by William B. Sargent, which dabbled in real estate, insurance and mortgage loans. At the time of this photo (July, 2008), the building had recently been restored, previously covered by a metal slip-cover facade. This building shared the walls of its two neighboring buildings, the Sommers Block on the right and the now demolished Foley House Hotel on the left, it's one column remaining. This building is located within the La Grande Commercial Historic District, on the National Register of Historic Places. |
