Français : La construction de la Cité Blanche a commencé en 1880 pour loger les familles d'ouvriers des carrières de chaux (environ 500 personnes). Au 20° siècle, la mécanisation et le manque de confort ont vidé le village. Il reste moins d'une dizaine d'habitants.
Le tremblement de terre du 11 novembre 2019, d'une puissance de 5,3, est l'un des plus puissants enregistré en France. Il faut espérer qu'il n’amènera pas à la destruction complète de ce patrimoine ouvrier si particulier.
