La BRILAT colgó una gran bandera española en el puente de Monteporreiro Concurso de Patrullas Tuy-Santiago 2014 organizado por la Brigada de Infantería Ligera Aerotransportable 'Galicia' VII (BRILAT) del Ejército de Tierra de España. Es una de las pruebas militares más duras de España. Las patrullas parten de Tuy, en el sur de Galicia, con el objetivo de recorrer 120 Km y llegar a Santiago en 36 horas. En Pontevedra hicieron pruebas de descenso desde el puente de Monteporreiro y de cruzar a nado el río Lérez. Este año participaron 120 militares agrupados en 25 patrullas, incluyendo por primera vez una patrulla de Marines de los Estados Unidos. La prueba se realiza coincidiendo con el aniversario del primer aerotransporte de la BRILAT en 1969.
Th BRILAT hung a large spanish flag on the bridge of Monteporreiro Tuy-Santiago Patrol Competition 2014, organized by Airborne Light Infantry Brigade 'Galicia' VII (BRILAT) of the Spanish Army. It is one of the toughest military test in Spain. Patrols start in Tuy, in the south of Galicia, with the aim of covering 120 km and reach Santiago in 36 hours. In Pontevedra they did drop tests from Monteporreiro bridge and swim across the river Lérez. This year were involved 120 military grouped in 25 patrols, including for the first time a patrol of U.S. Marines. The test is performed on the anniversary of the first airlift of BRILAT in 1969. |
