Description
Norsk bokmål: Den første norske flyavdelingen i aktiv tjeneste etter at kampen opphørte i Norge i 1940 ble satt opp i frendelandet Island i april året etter. Gjennom to år har denne squadron gjort glimrende arbeid. Blant annet har den eskortert kring 400 konvoyer, ødelagt flere u-båter og avvist en rekke tyske flyangrep. Den må arbeide under ytterst vanskelige forhold, i snøstorm og sjørøyk. Bakkemannskapet sliter imidlertid trutt og trofast selv i 20 graders kulde (Celsius) for å holde flyene startklare til enhver tid. Et av Northrop-flyene fotografert under patruljetjeneste ved Island.
