English: LYR map, Manchester Victoria 1980 The astounding tiled map at Manchester Victoria, the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway's hub and main administrative centre. Dating from the station's rebuilding in 1904, the map is now a listed structure. After World War One, the memorial to servants of the LYR who died in that conflict was placed beneath the map. Sheer magnificence. |
