| Description |
English: London Transport C Stock (C77 group) DM No.5721 built in 1977 by Metropolitan Cammell (Washwood Heath) at the London Transport Acton Depot Museum, 25 September 2021.
The C Stock comprised 2-car sets semi-permanently coupled together to form 6-car sets and was built in two batches: the A69 Stock built in 1969-70 for the Circle Line and Hammersmith & City Line; and the slightly modified C77 Stock built in 1977 for the District Line’s Edgware – Wimbledon branch. In addition, 2 cars were built in 2008 as C08 Stock to replace destroyed cars and employing salvaged parts of those cars. The C Stock was withdrawn in 2012-14. |
