Summary

[edit]
Description
English: BR/LMS Ivatt 60 'CH' (Brake Third Corridor), later BR 'BTK' then 'BSK' (Brake Third Corridor/Brake Second Corridor) No.26880 in 1945 LMS Lake livery built at Derby in 1950 (Daigram 2161, Lot 1501, 'Porthole' design). Introduced a new "bulging bottom" profile and porthole lavatory windows to LMS-type coaches. They were also the first all-steel post- war coaches which influenced BR to adopt similar construction. BR Mk.I coaches also have a number of other features of this LMS-type stock. Note "The Red Rose" carriageboard. At Eardington during the Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Festival, 15 April 2021.
