Description Construction of this coach was begun by the LMS at Derby in 1939 as "Dynamometer Car No.3" but was held up by the War and not completed until 1948 under BR, when it became No.M45049 "Dynamometer Car No.3", later "Test Car No.3" and was in use until 1975. It is pictured at Barrow Hill in LMS livery (which it never actually carried), 04/09.
