English:

An undatable prehistoric core tool, retaining c.50% cortex on both faces. The flint is opaque and a mid-grey colour with light patination spots. Fossil imprints are also visible on both faces, one large and central on one face and two or three smaller on the opposite face. Discoidal removals are apparent on both faces, as is long, low-level retouch, though on the face with the large fossil imprint this is scaled while on the other it is stepped. The retouch on this latter face is to the left and probable base of the object while the retouch on the other face is to the left and probable top of the object. Both right and left edges and the probable top edge shows signs of battering, presumably from being used as a hammerstone. The object retains traces of iron staining on both the flint and the cortex.

Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen suggests the large fossil imprint might perhaps be a sponge trace fossil.
Mike Trevarthen comments that 'it is probably the remains of core that has been used to bash things (possibly creating the big void in the middle). Dating is difficult, but probably Late Neolithic - Bronze Age'.

Measures 100.1mm in length, 90.8mm in max.width, 47.1mm in max.thickness and weighs 498g (to the nearest 2g). The probable base measures 80.4x43.2mm and the probable top 36.2x29.3mm.
