Title
LEIC-CD41B6: Post-Medieval annular buckle
Description
English: A copper alloy ring, possibly an annular buckle of Post-Medieval date. The ring has been filed into shape, creating a slightly faceted effect. A small notch has been removed from the outer edge of one side, possibly to prevent a chape from moving. Alternatively it may simply be a strap junction of broad Medieval to Post-Medieval date. If it is indeed a buckle Egan (2005, 34) dates similar single looped filed buckles to the later 16th and 17th centuries.

Diameter: 31.0mm, thickness: 4.0mm, weight: 6.59g
