Description

Der Bau eines der größten Batteriespeicher Europas in der Lausitz hat begonnen. Am heutigen Dienstag, 9.Juli 2019, haben Bundesumweltministerin Svenja Schulze, der Brandenburger Wirtschaftsminister Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Steinbach und der Vorstandsvorsitzende der Lausitz Energie Bergbau AG und Lausitz Energie Kraftwerke AG, Dr. Helmar Rendez, auf dem 6800 Quadratmeter großen Baufeld am Kraftwerksstandort Schwarze Pumpe den Grundstein für die BigBattery Lausitz gelegt. Hier werden derzeit die Fundamente für die Batterie hergestellt. Sie soll ab dem kommenden Jahr eine nutzbare Kapazität von 53 Megawattstunden beziehungsweise ca. 50 MW in den Energiemärkten, z.B. als Systemdienstleistung zur Verfügung stellen. Die insgesamt 13 Lithium-Ionen-Module werden im Herbst am Standort erwartet und installiert.
