English: How to reach the level of condensation by lifting a parcel (LCL). The parcel at a certain level has a temperature T and a dew point Td. Its temperature will change according the dry adiabatic rate as it is lifted while its mixing ratio remain the same as the one at Td. When the line of mixing ratio and T adiabtic cross, the moisture in the parcel begin to condensate: it is the LCL. |
