Michael Beschloss, Mark Updegrove, Larry Temple and Harry Middleton's children, Jennifer O'Dell, Jim Middleton and Debby Sansom, in the Green Room before the event. On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, the LBJ Presidential Library presented the Harry Middleton Lectureship featuring presidential historian Michael Beschloss. He joined former LBJ Library Director Mark Updegrove in the LBJ Auditorium for a discussion of presidential history, both recent and distant. Beschloss is an award-winning historian, best-selling author of nine books, New York Times columnist, and Emmy-winning contributor to NBC News and the PBS NewsHour.
